The Hobbs family purchased what is still our funeral home in 1941. Our home was originally a farm house, built by Mr. Clemons. Beside being a farmer and wonderful carpenter, Mr. Clemons also had a blacksmith shop behind the barn, and we still have the huge bellows which were part of his trade.

Hobbs Funeral Home-South Portland

The original building on that site has been completely renovated and a state-of-the-art funeral home has been established to meet Hobbs standards for the families we serve. Just past them, you'll see Cape Elizabeth Town Hall on your right. Turn right onto Shore Road at the blinking light. The Hobbs Funeral Home will be on your right as you start down the hill. Cross the Casco Bay Bridge, go straight on Broadway at the light at the end of the bridge ramp. Go past the next light and turn right at the following light at Holy Cross Catholic church. Go about 100 yds to another light at Red's Dairy Barn; bear left at that light and go uphill about 100 yards.
